Birmingham-based Gallan Parking is keeping regeneration plans for Chester on track after boosting the provision of public parking in the city centre.
The company, part of Birmingham property specialist Gallan Group, is to manage a new 275-space temporary car park opposite Chester railway station.
The former bus depot will act as additional parking to the existing car park at the station while Watkin Jones Homes seeks to develop the site for new housing.
The car park, with an entrance and exit in Crewe Street, is now open 24 hours a day seven days a week with tariffs well below others in the area.
Jason Berry, Development Director at Watkin Jones Homes, said: “We have appointed Gallan Parking for their excellent reputation in managing land awaiting development as car parks and creating a useful income source from them.”
Paul Garry, Gallan Director, commented: “We are delighted to win our first contract with such a prestigious developer and look forward to providing city centre shoppers and rail travellers alike with convenient and secure parking.”
Gallan Parking, part of the Birmingham-based Gallan Group, provides landowners, developers and investors with a range of safe, secure and flexible revenue-earning parking solutions for empty land in any location.
