LBS Properties, advised by Compton and Cushman & Wakefield, has let 12,000 sq ft of office space at Script, 44 Featherstone Street, Old Street, London, to Jaguar Land Rover for its collaboration office.
The international motor manufacturer has taken the fifth and sixth floor of the 51,000 sq ft prime office development on a new ten-year lease.
Nick Crawford, CEO of LBS Properties, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jaguar Land Rover to Script, EC1. As a business, we have been active in the Old Street market for several years, attracted by the concentration of high-growth businesses and the extensive amenities available to those working in the area. It is great to see the plans that Jaguar Land Rover has for its new office space, which I am sure will be an excellent example of how office use has evolved over the last few years, with a focus on collaboration and innovation. We look forward to welcoming more forward-thinking businesses to Script over the coming months.”
Elliott Stern, Compton, added: “The City Fringe continues to be a focus for creative and innovative businesses who wish to attract the best and brightest staff at a global level. This transaction underlines that this is true not just for the technology and media sectors, but also from the world of international manufacturing. Script is another example of a best-in-class building producing best-in-class results.”
A further 22,500 sq ft of CAT A space remains available at Script, in addition to the new, fully fitted 1st Floor of 7,500 sq ft (quoting rents of £69.50 per sq ft).
Jaguar Land Rover was unrepresented in the transaction.
