Federated Hermes has announced that cosmetics pioneer, Lush, has signed for additional units at Fleets Corner Business Park in Poole. Lush has selected two of Fleets Corner’s comprehensively refurbished warehouse units, A1 and A2, with a combined gross internal area of approximately 103,000 sq ft. The new signings will take Lush’s total space at Fleets Corner to 275,000 sq ft and establish the business park as Lush’s UK manufacturing and distribution hub.
Unit A1 will house Lush’s material goods warehousing and production, which produces colour formulation for its global manufacturing sites. Unit A2 will be home to production departments for its Oral Care, Lush Makeup, Lip Balm, and Bubble Bath Bar ranges. The two units join Lush’s circular recycling site, ‘Green Hub’, which opens at Fleets Corner’s early next year, as well as a number of other units.
The strategically located units will cater to Lush’s significant presence within the global cosmetics industry, with over 900 shops worldwide and across 48 countries. As Lush’s manufacturing hub, the new units will benefit from Fleets Corner’s prominent location at the front of the Nuffield Industrial Estate and adjacency to the A3049 dual carriageway.
Chase Clark, Lush Manufacturing Director, commented: “The signing of the A1 & A2 units at Fleets Corner Business Park is part of Lush’s strategic plan to secure the right space in the right place. The addition of these alongside our existing presence at the park takes 66% of our Poole based operations within Fleets Corner. This enables us to consolidate our manufacturing campus on the Nuffield Industrial Estate, supporting current capacity and future growth.”
Stephen Ellis, Senior Investment Manager, Federated Hermes, added: “We are committed to supporting and nurturing existing occupiers at Fleets Corner, helping their businesses to grow by providing high quality, easily accessibly space that can fulfil a variety of needs. By working closely with Lush, we have been able to provide them with space that meets all their requirements, and their loyalty is a great vote of confidence for other occupiers.”
Lush’s expansion follows the signing of Poole-based civil, structural, and environmental engineering firm, which has taken 4,000 sq ft of newly refurbished office space at Fleets Corner’s Waterloo House.
Galena Real Estate, JLL, Goadsby and CBRE acted for Federated Hermes on the deal.
