Serviced Office Company United Business Centres (Midlands) Ltd has appointed Tom Mulvaney, as its new managing director. Mulvaney was already on the board of UBC and has worked closely with the Management Team since April 2010.
In 2012, the company enjoyed a successful year with increasing demand for its services and occupancy levels across the portfolio exceeding 80%. Mulvaney joins a robust management team to help deliver further achievements in 2013 and beyond. The appointment comes at the start of a year of strategic growth during which the company is planning to open 4 new Business Centres to add to its current portfolio of 12 and further expansion is projected into 2014 and beyond.
Mulvaney has held a number of Finance Director roles with large UK and Internationally owned businesses and continues to hold non-executive directorships in the IT and Business Services sector. He has lead fund raising and acquisition projects and accumulated experience across all business functions over the past 25 years.
Commenting on the appointment, John Bryce a shareholder in the business said “Tom’s appointment comes at a pivotal time in the company’s development – with his solid finance and general management background, we’re confident that he’s the right man to have at the helm and we’re delighted he has accepted the position”.
