Nolan Redshaw, acting on behalf of a local investment company, have negotiated the sale to Pickerings Hire Ltd, who are a national organisation currently based in Trafford Park, but with a Head Office on the Leicestershire / Derbyshire border.
Pickerings have a national coverage with 12 depots throughout the UK specialising in
hire & sale of modular accommodation, Anti Vandal and welfare units.
The purchase of Millingford Industrial Estate at 6.6 acres, allows Pickerings to expand significantly in the North West region.
Paul Nolan from Nolan Redshaw, negotiated the sale and states: –
“Millingford Industrial Estate had come to the end of its economic life. Pickerings, purchased the site and propose a full redevelopment of the site in order to make it suitable for their use”
The site in the past had planning permission for a Sainsbury’s Supermarket, however this scheme did not proceed as Sainsbury’s pulled out of the market.
It is a strategic site and will potentially bring a number of new jobs to the town.
