Almost 5 years to the day after opening their bespoke, purpose-built studio in Baltonsborough, multi award winning Orme Architecture are delighted to be expanding with a second office into the heart of Bristol, one of the UKs most vibrant cities.
Housed in a beautifully refurbished Georgian building off Broad Street their new city centre office is just a stone’s throw from Bristol’s iconic Grade II listed Guild Hall and the Harbourside, providing a great location for both their team and clients alike.
The stunning historic building, which is surrounded by some of the city’s most popular venues, will house their second studio encouraging greater creativity through more collaborative working and greater flexibility for their clients. The new office, situated in Albion Chambers will provide workspace for eight additional members of their architectural team together with a meeting space for clients for whom the gateway of Bristol is more geographically convenient.
Orme Architecture’s Managing Director Edd Medlicott said: “Bristol is a creative, vibrant and growing market, and whilst we will continue to have our HQ in Somerset, in order to continue with the levels of business growth we have experienced , this expansion means we can offer a more superior service to our residential customers who stretch into Cheltenham and beyond, and better access for our teams to work on our commercial projects both in London and across the UK.”
Tom Gascoyne, Creative Director for the practice added “We are fortunate to have an incredibly talented team in place and this is an amazing opportunity for us to build on that talent which in turn will allow us to continue to build on our reputation for creating outstanding bespoke design and delivery for both new and existing clients. We are looking forward to continuing that journey”
Opening their doors in Bristol means that the company can continue to build on the broad range of experience that they have gained over the past 3 decades across a range of sectors from retail, workplace and residential to care homes, community, and education. They have an individual creative process unique to each client whatever the concept, location or budget and with strong environmental conscience that looks to blend cutting-edge design with the latest innovations in sustainable construction and technology. Having exhibited at Grand Designs live in London back in May , 2022 continues to be an exciting year for Orme.
