The UK’s leading provider of musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and mental health services, Ascenti, has announced the opening of a new office in central Bristol this August, let by Alder King and Cushman & Wakefield.
The company has agreed a five-year lease with the landlord Rowe Estates on a 3,637 sq ft suite in Prince House, Bristol.
Tom Dugay of Alder King’s office agency team said: “The healthcare sector has seen impressive growth in recent years, and this is reflected in the number of transactions we’re handling involving healthcare providers. Ascenti’s new office hub here in Bristol will help facilitate its exciting expansion plans across the UK.”
Minutes from Queen Square, the city’s vibrant harbourside and Temple Meads railway station, the premises on Prince Street will become home to 40 employees within Ascenti’s business support functions including the People, Communications and Finance departments. The central Bristol location will also serve members of Ascenti’s award-winning in-house tech team, Ascenti Digital, made up of over 20 developers, engineers, product specialists and support staff.
The move comes during an exciting year for Ascenti, which also saw the acquisition of a London-based private physiotherapy business, Six Physio, and the launch of a pioneering digital health app, Ascenti Reach, which was recognised with two HealthInvestor awards in June.
These developments, along with a surge in demand for its clinical services of up to 300% following the pandemic, have seen Ascenti enjoy a period of significant growth over the last 18 months.
Now with over 800 employees including the largest directly- employed physiotherapy network in the independent sector, Ascenti has expanded its Bristol-based business support teams, hence the need for new accommodation.
Purposefully designed to showcase the Ascenti brand, the space will act as a corporate hub for the business, featuring conference rooms to host client and board meetings, facilities for inductions and training days, breakout zones for collaborative working and “hot desk” areas. It will also support Ascenti’s approach to hybrid working, offering employees more flexibility in whether they work remotely or from the office. The new Bristol location complements Ascenti’s existing contact centre and administrative hub based in Fareham and means the business now has a substantial employer presence in the South West, as well as offering nationwide job opportunities within its clinical network.
CEO of Ascenti, Stephanie Dobrikova, commented: “I’m delighted to launch our new office in Bristol and can’t wait for our amazing people to settle into their new home. This space will encourage collaboration and team building, which we know from listening to staff is something they hugely value. Not only will it allow greater flexibility for our talented team, our new hub also opens the door to opportunities for us to invite members of our nationwide community for training and workshops, welcome clients for stakeholder events, and continue growing our workforce.”
