Roythornes Solicitors has completed its relocation to new Birmingham offices as the business continues to expand, property specialists Centrick have announced.
The Top 150 law firm has agreed a lease on 3,500 sq ft of office space at 1 Newhall Street in the city centre.
Centrick commercial director Alex Tross, acting on behalf of Roythornes, secured the accommodation in a deal with landlords Ardstone Capital. The building has recently undergone a full refurbishment to provide Grade A office space with excellent amenities and common areas.
Due to consistent and substantial growth, this is Roystone’s fourth move in the city since opening its first Birmingham office in February 2020. This latest move is the next stage of strategic growth and allows the firm to build on the solid foundations laid two years ago.
Alex said: “The accommodation at 1 Newhall Street is superb following a back-to-frame refurbishment and, with its highly convenient central location, presents a compelling proposition.
“Roythornes Solicitors has enjoyed continued growth since arriving in Birmingham just two years ago and was in temporary serviced accommodation at Great Charles Street. The company recognised the many benefits of moving to its own Grade A office space and 1 Newhall Street offers them a permanent, high quality base where its team can flourish.”
Roythorne’s managing director Vember Mortlock said: “Our exciting expansion furthers our commitment to Birmingham as a city, and to its dynamic real estate market. This is an important area of growth for us and we’re looking forward to continuing our work across the West Midlands, serving both longstanding and new clients.”
Formerly known as Phoenix House, 1 Newhall Street was acquired by Ardstone Capital in 2014. It contains office accommodation over eight upper floors, with a retail unit at ground floor, and storage space at basement level.
It benefits from its prime position on Newhall Street adjacent to its junction with Colmore Row in Birmingham’s central office core. Both Birmingham New Street and Snow Hill railway stations are within walking distance.
Centrick chairman James Ackrill said: “It is wonderful to see companies doing well and continuing to commit to city centre offices as we all learn to adapt to the new hybrid way of working. The investment by landlords Ardstone Capital in a total refurbishment of the property is paying real dividends.”
