The Gym Group has recently made its debut in Woking’s Victoria Place, the regenerated town centre development that opened in March this year. The leading national gym chain has taken a 11,500 sq ft space in Bandstand Mall, part of The Peacocks Centre.
Joining over 210 locations across the UK, The Gym Group Woking offers its signature affordable membership scheme, including a range of free exercise classes, high-quality gym equipment, and personal training services. Accessibility is a priority, no contract is needed, and the town centre location is open 24 hours, allowing members from not only the local area, but from other The Gym Group locations flexibility in their gym experience.
Oliver Tester, Head of Property Acquisition at The Gym Group, commented: “Our opening at Victoria Place is an exciting moment for us as a brand. The location, situated near the new apartments and in the heart of Woking, aligns with our commitment to locality and accessibility, and we are proud to have opened our doors in the heart of Surrey. We are confident that local residents and visitors will enjoy the UK-renowned safe, clean and comprehensive experience that The Gym Group Woking offers.”
Councillor Ann-Marie Barker, leader of Woking Borough Council, added: “The community is at the forefront of everything we do in Woking. Offering residents and visitors the opportunity to access an affordable, high-quality gym is a key part of that. Victoria Place is now a stronghold of a variety of well-established brands, and the recent additions such as The Gym Group will continue to enable our town centre flourish.”
The Gym Group joins Moss Bros. and M&S, and popular footwear retailer Skechers at Victoria Place, with Italia Conti, the world-renowned performing arts educational institution, and Woking Superbowl set to open in the coming months.
