Property consultancy Harris Lamb has further expanded its planning team with the appointment of Paul Barton as a Director.
Paul brings a wealth of experience within the sector, having previously worked with Countryside and Bruton Knowles and specialising in strategic land and planning applications.
Patrick Downes, Head of Planning, said: “Our team has grown substantially in recent months in line with an increase in instructions. Paul is a welcome addition to our ranks, bringing extensive experience to the team.
“Prior to his more recent roles, Paul also worked as a Director at Malcolm Scott Consultants, the rural business planning consultancy acquired by Harris Lamb in 2015, and the news of his joining the team has been welcomed by his former colleagues.
“Paul has an excellent reputation within the field and will be working on a range of projects within the team, ensuring that we are able to continue to offer a first class service to our client base,” he added.
Paul said: “During my time working within the planning sector I have developed a passion for residential and rural planning work, and have crossed paths and worked in conjunction with the Harris Lamb team for several years.
“I have always been impressed with the calibre of projects the business oversees, and the professionalism and passion the planning team demonstrates in their day-to-day work, so when the opportunity to join them arose, I was keen to take it. The business has an extensive client portfolio and a wide range of live projects to hit the ground running with; I’m delighted to be on board,” he said.
