Pret A Manger is to open its second outlet in Wales in Cardiff’s Capitol Shopping Centre after agreeing a letting with Plus Shops Retail on behalf of landlord Moorfield Group.
Pret have taken space on the ground floor of Capitol in a 2,000 sq ft unit that opens onto an external seating area on Queen Street. The shop can accommodate up to 130 customers and Welsh Rugby star Martyn Williams MBE will officially open the unit on 1 February.
Pret joins several other high profile names that have recently opened at the centre, including Tesco Metro and fitness chain easyGym. The 163,500 sq ft centre’s other tenants include H&M, Accessorize, Fat Face, Hobbs, Jaeger and Phase Eight.
Abinet Amde, operations manager at Pret, said opening their second Welsh store in Capitol Shopping Centre was a good way to grow its presence in the city.
He said: “The feedback has been so positive that we are pleased to announce the opening of our second shop in the area, which will continue to tempt our customers’ taste buds with good, honest, natural food.”
