Marking 10 years since the start of the ever-popular Temple Quay street food market in Bristol, organisers Square Route Events have announced that the market will be expanding to open twice a week.
Due to the popularity of the long-established Thursday lunchtime market at Temple Quay, at the heart of Bristol’s business quarter, a food market will also be held on Tuesday lunchtimes starting from 21 June.
The new Tuesday market will give the opportunity for visitors to the market to experience a host of different food operators, such as Filipino street food from Aurora Kusina, Smak Bristol serving Swedish inspired meatball dishes, and gourmet street food pasta from Toff’s Pasta.
Temple Quay market is known to be one of the busiest in the city, and since September 2021, as more staff have returned from working at home to the offices there, the market is returning to pre-pandemic levels, attracting upwards of 1,000 customers every Thursday.
Real estate adviser Avison Young is the managing agent for Temple Quay. Director Paul Williams, who is also a board member of The Redcliffe and Temple Bid (Business Improvement District) says that the expansion of the street food market is a real vote of confidence in the area helping create a vibrant destination:
