A boom in demand for cupcakes had led a Leamington supplier of cake decoration materials and ingredients to move to larger premises in the town.
Sales at The Craft Company had trebled over the last five years and the firm was desperate for larger premises to cope with the surging demand.
With over 5,000 product lines and a staff of more than 25 people despatching hundreds of parcels a week to thousands of customers worldwide, space was quickly running out. The nation’s love affair with cakes – and especially with cupcakes (which account for about half of The Craft Company’s sales) – meant an immediate move to larger premises was vital.”
Managing director Glyn Dore said: “Ideally, we didn’t want to move too far from our existing premises off Queensway with all the disruption of relocating that would entail. So, when our property agents ehB Commercial came up with an 11,000 sq ft unit on Hermes Court on the Tachbrook Park estate in double-quick time we snapped it up!”
“ehB Commercial made sure that the whole deal was completed at super-fast speed, which was very important to us because we take all our orders on line – even for customers who call into our premises – and seek to despatch on the same day, although some customers can specify a longer delivery time.
“We wanted to complete the move without causing any disruption to the business, and Victoria Mawer at ehB helped us achieve that. She was totally professional and thoroughly patient and helpful throughout the whole process of getting us into our new building, coping with all our worries, completing the deal on time, and making it all flow smoothly. You could say she ensured our move was baked to perfection.”
ehB Commercial currently handles a raft of properties – including retails units, offices, warehouses and industrial units – as well as providing such services as valuations, acquisition & corporate property advice, development, investment & commercial property management and landlord & tenant reviews.
Recently, it was crowned ‘Most Active Agent of the Year’ in Warwickshire by a leading commercial property magazine, Estates Gazette.
