Colliers has announced the internal appointment of Victoria Dent as its new Operations Director who will guide the firm through key transformational initiatives, including office moves in 2023.
Victoria joined the Colliers’ finance department in 2020 during the first UK lockdown as a financial reporting accountant from chartered accountancy firm Haysmacintyre. For the last two years she has been responsible for the business’ UK external reporting procedures, as well as internal audit programme.
She was the first non-fee earner to complete the firm’s all-female leadership programme REAL for Women in 2021.
Tony Horrell, CEO of Colliers UK and Ireland, said: “At Colliers we believe in looking at our talent from within and identified that Victoria has been instrumental in the strategic growth of her team in recent years. There’s always lots of change taking place in any business, and with our office move in London due to take place next year, and our strategic growth plan, Victoria’s background in accounting and audit will be essential in ensuring that the business continues to grow efficiently and sustainably, while still accelerating the success of our clients.”
As Operations Director Victoria will work alongside the HR and Finance teams to ensure departments across the business have the tools and resources needed to grow and meet the needs of clients.
Victoria added: “I feel ready for a new challenge and I’m excited to move into a more strategic role, rather than spending my days examining the finer details of numbers. My experience in the REAL for Women programme gave me the confidence to realise that I could be the person that drives change. I’m so pleased that Colliers has recognised my skills and that now I’m in a position to really make a mark on Colliers’ UK strategic growth.”
