Innovative UK employment charity Tomorrow’s People has moved into a new base in the heart of Bristol’s commercial district.
The charity, which runs a range of programmes helping disadvantaged young people to get and keep a job, has taken a three year lease on 1,229 sq ft of space at Suite 301 in Queen Charlotte Street in a deal brokered by offices specialists Colliers International.
Richard Wright from the firm’s national offices team said the charity had specified a central Bristol location.
He said: “Tomorrow’s People aims to create a genuine workplace environment rather than an education setting and Queen Charlotte Street is a very suitable location in the city centre in demand from a wide variety of businesses.”
QC30 is a strikingly modern looking building in a prime position on Queen Charlotte Street linking the historic Queen Square with the traditional financial district of Bristol.
Tomorrow’s People offers 16-week employability workshops to young people aged between 16-24, running three of these courses a year for 12 young people per course.
Robbie Smyth from Tomorrow’s People said: “The course is made up of several elements which will be delivered on and off site and includes CV workshops, literacy and numeracy training, interview techniques and workshops to open up the world of work.
“The fact we will be operating from QC30 means we will be able maximise exposure to and contact with the young people we are targeting and work with them in a pleasant workplace environment to help them move forward with their lives.”
