A planning application is to be submitted shortly for consent to create an exciting new low carbon employment area inNorth Poole.MagnaBusinessParkextends in total to approximately 17.6 ha (43.5 acres) and is situated adjoiningMagna Road.
The new employment zone will benefit from the availability of renewable heat and electrical energy supplied by Canford Renewable Energy Ltd via the Canford Site Control Centre which will also manage the waste produced by the occupiers of theBusinessPark.
MagnaBusinessParkhas been designed to provide an attractive landscaped environment for medium to large businesses incorporating sustainable urban drainage areas whilst at the same time enhancing nature conservancy within the greater Canford Heath area. The scheme has been designed to provide a total of 52,910 sq m (570,000 sq ft) of industrial floor space situated in a maximum of five plots.
The need to encourage and support economic growth is recognised as being critical at both national and local level and in that regardMagnaBusinessParkoffers the opportunity to create between 1100 and 1650 jobs. This in turn reflects a potential economic benefit of up to £96,000,000 Gross Value Added to the local economy and up to £51,000,000 in employee earnings.
