PTV Group, the global company that provides optimisation and planning software for the movement of people and goods, has relocated its UK operations to 54 Hagley Road.
PTV UK Ltd, the UK arm of the German business has agreed a five-year lease within one of the building’s new plug and play suites on floor 9 and has moved its 14 staff members from Halesowen, where it was based for more than 30 years.
These fully furnished suites enable companies to move in and begin work immediately without substantial upfront costs and include high-quality fixtures and fittings, plus first-class office accommodation with instant fibre connectivity.
Stacey Tonge, marketing manager, said: “We have moved as we wanted to have a more central location that was easier for the staff to commute to, not just for the colleagues in the UK but also our colleagues travelling from our HQ in Germany.
“We wanted a location that was close to Birmingham City Centre, easily accessible for staff and clients and a property we could be proud of, 54 Hagley Road was the perfect fit for us as a business and for our corporate identity as PTV Group.”
Avison Young’s George Jennings, joint letting agent, said: “The launch of the plug and play suites at 54 Hagley Road has been a huge success, demonstrating the need for such high-quality facilities in one of the best Grade A office buildings in the area.
“Flexible terms are also available, making them a great solution for start-ups or smaller companies. Although floor 9 is fully occupied, there are further plug and play suites available within floors 2, 4 and 5, with ready made suites from as little as 685 sq ft.
Over the past 18 months, abrdn, which owns 54 Hagley Road, has invested in a £3 million ground-floor refurbishment, providing new amenities such as break-out spaces, large reception area, open-plan cafe/business lounge, meetings and conference rooms, fitness studio with locker and shower facilities and extensive bicycle stores. Plus an additional £1.2m on the plug and play office suites.
54 Hagley Road is well connected, with a new Metro stop immediately outside, providing access to Birmingham New Street within a few minutes, due to open later this year. The building also lies outside the planned Clean Air Zone (CAZ).
