One of South Wales’ most successful networking organisations has been drafted in by the Welsh Government to help businesses in Wales develop their networking skills.
Business Wales, a Welsh Government initiative, contacted Introbiz to ask them to run a series of seminars designed to get rural businesses networking.
More than 70 businesses attended the ‘Making it Happen’ events in Brecon, Aberaeron and Builth Wells, which were led by Introbiz directors Tracey Jenkins and Paul Smolinski.
Introbiz was booked by Business Wales who wanted to hold a series of events which would give business the tools they needed for successful networking. Business owners who attended have said that they now feel more confident about networking and will use the skills they gained in the workshop.
Introbiz founder, Tracey, said: “We were thrilled to be asked to take part in this project and had no qualms about accepting the challenge. Ultimately, we believe that people buy from people, so being able to network is a vital sales skill for any business person.
“As well as running the events as seminars, we were also keen to emphasise that every event is a networking opportunity and encouraged attendees to make contacts which would hopefully, be beneficial to them in the future.”
The events were such a success that Introbiz have been approached to plan and run further training in 2013.
Introbiz was founded in 2009 by Tracey Jenkins and with more than 150 members is one of South Wales’ biggest business networks. For 2013 Introbiz has introduced a range of membership packages, allowing new and existing members to tailor make their networking to their company’s needs.
