A leading interior design consultancy has completed work on the new headquarters of award-winning digital transformation specialist, FSP.
Office Principles has designed and delivered a new 5,000 sq ft workspace on the ground floor of the Now Building, part of the pioneering Here+Now campus at Thames Valley Park.
The six-week project has created a contemporary office space that reflects current working practices, offering a hybrid of coworking and traditional work settings that will empower FSP’s 120 employees to choose when and how they work.
It delivers a series of distinct zones, including a collaborative area at the front of the office space, as well as virtual meeting rooms, group meeting spaces and breakout areas.
The facility also contains a main boardroom and a purpose-built innovation hub that will host interactive client workshops, with its own access to the green space outdoors.
It is one of multiple entrances to the free flowing office space, which has been designed to be fully accessible and promote the movement of employees, as well as offering clear sightlines across the floor plate from any vantage point.
The space is unified by its New York loft-style design with raw, concrete pillars that are intersected with Scandi features, including soft timbers, a subtle colour palette and a biophilic wall.
Office Principles and FSP have reused and recycled several materials within the new workspace, including existing furniture and signage, that complement the environmental and sustainability credentials of the campus estate.
Here+Now is the UK’s first office development to have been awarded BREEAM Outstanding, Fitwel three-star and RESET Air accreditation. Centred on employee wellbeing, the carbon net zero development offers access to 3,000 sq ft of exercise space, an outdoor working zone, cycling facilities, outdoor cinema and over 80 acres of wetland habitat at the Thames Valley Nature Reserve.
Office Principles supported FSP in sourcing the new office space and was chosen to lead the fit out project following a competitive tendering process.
Tom Parsons, Sales Director at Office Principles said: “FSP has enjoyed a period of rapid growth and needed a much larger space that was inclusive and accessible to its expanding team. As a people-centric business and a three-time winner of Best Companies™ in 2022, we felt that FSP would benefit from having a larger space within a campus that supports technology, innovation and wellness.
“This has been a partnership-led project, with teams from both businesses working together effectively. We have jointly delivered a fit out that complements the budget and design, using sustainable materials that have fitted seamlessly with the base build. The new workspace is perfectly aligned to FSP’s culture and values. It not only facilitates different ways of working but also provides an excellent opportunity for employees to reconnect and collaborate with their colleagues.”
Simon Grosse, CEO of FSP, said: “We are absolutely delighted with our new modern workplace, it is everything we envisioned and more, with plenty of space for our growing team. This new space will provide FSP with fresh opportunities for connecting and collaborating with colleagues, clients, and our wider community partners in a dynamic and engaging purpose-built environment that pioneers a new level in workplace sustainability.”
