John Bryce, director of KWB Office Agency, has acquired new office space for the Solihull branch of ArcelorMittal, the world’s leading integrated steel and mining company.
The 50-strong ArcelorMittal team are relocating to a 7,060 sq ft space at Friars Gate on the A34 Stratford Road, on a 10-year lease. It is just a mile away from their existing 9,000 sq ft office at Fore Business Park at Junction 4 of the M42.
The relocation to Friars Gate, which is owned by Topland Group, will enable more occupational efficiency in line with ArcelorMittal’s agile working arrangements and commitment to minimising environmental impact.
Adrian Southall of KWB Workplace has advised on the new office space design and will facilitate the fit out and relocation this summer.
Karen Reading, company secretary at ArcelorMittal said: “Our 10-year lease at Fore Business Park is coming to an end, giving us the opportunity to acquire a smaller office space that reflects our changing needs. The Solihull branch mainly comprises sales and account management staff who split their time between the offices and visiting customers. Digitalisation also means we need less storage space.
“We didn’t hesitate to contact John Bryce as he found our existing space and knows exactly what we need, and I’m delighted he’s been able to help us again. Friars Gate suits us perfectly as it’s in a convenient location with onsite parking and will bring greater energy and cost efficiencies.”
John Bryce added: “After assessing ArcelorMittal’s needs and conducting an extensive search of the M42 and Solihull office market I was pleased to find this space at Friars Gate. It perfectly matches their requirements given the Grade A quality accommodation, proximity to the motorway network and accessibility of local amenities.
“As a long-standing client, I was delighted to assist with ArcelorMittal’s office search, and I look forward to seeing them settled in their new base.”
