Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has announced the opening of its newly remodelled Bristol office.
The firm has made the investment to its office in Bridgewater House off Counterslip, where it has been located since 2012.
The new space has been designed with a focus on supporting employee wellbeing and includes more collaborative working areas and state of the art technology to support hybrid meetings and multi locational events.
Since moving into the region in 2005, BDO’s headcount in the South West has significantly increased to almost 250 people, including 13 partners. In the last six months the firm has also taken on 27 new trainees, a mixture of graduates and school leaver apprentices.
This year BDO plans to continue its investment in people and is currently hiring 30 new trainees in the region with applications for these apprentice and graduate positions now open.
David Brookes, Head of BDO in the South West commented:
“I am delighted to be fully re-opening our newly remodelled office here in Bristol. Our approach to working patterns means that our people are given the freedom to choose where they want to work week-to-week dependent on the task in hand. For most this will likely be a mixture of office work, remote working from home and some visits to client sites.
“We believe that a positive working environment enhances wellbeing and productivity. The new Bristol space has been designed with this in mind and includes more areas to work collaboratively and a fresh, modern appearance that make it a really enjoyable place to work and meet with colleagues and clients.
“Since 2005 BDO has grown to a business of 250 people working with some of the most dynamic and innovative businesses in the region. The new office supports our plans to continue this growth in the future. Having increased headcount by more than 50% in the last five years, we are looking forward to watching our team and our expertise continue to grow and support the increasingly complex needs of our clients.”
