Two new appointments have been made to the planning and technical teams of IM land, the strategic land arm of Solihull based IM Properties.
Ian Deverell has joined as senior planning manager from Turley, where he was for four years, and Steve King takes the role of senior technical manager after 10 years with Bloor Homes.
Both appointments are focussed on furthering IM Land’s already strong reputation for deliverability, with the skills and expertise to offer master-planned, turnkey sites to take forward for new homes.
Jonathan Dyke, strategic land director for IM Land said continuing to expand the team with industry experts was essential in an ever more challenging landscape.
“Through utilising the depth of skill and experience we have in the team we are able to unlock some of the most technical and complex sites.
“We iron out all the issues and, in some cases complete the infrastructure works, so housebuilders can literally acquire the site and start building.”
Jonathan continued: “Steve’s experience with Bloor Homes is invaluable in terms of understanding a housebuilder’s wish-list for a viable site.
“And Ian has worked with us for some years now as a planning consultant, so we know his proven track record and what he can bring to the table.”
Both Ian and Steve see their appointment at IM Land as a welcome challenge, moving from developer and consultant to in-house, with the many opportunities that the company presents.
Ian said: “IM Land is well-recognised in the industry with a good long term land supply which I’m looking forward to working on, broadening my skill base to realise the potential of sites in an incredibly buoyant land market.
“They also go above and beyond to master-plan sustainable new communities which have a positive impact in line with IM Properties values for delivering best-in-class schemes, which offers real job satisfaction.”
Steve added: “Having also worked with IM land on the housebuilder side I know they deliver what they say they will and with the strong financial and technical backing of IM Properties, I’m looking forward to appraising new schemes coming forward and ensuring they are all deliverable.”
IM Land currently has a land supply to deliver 20,000 plots throughout the Midlands and South-East. One of its most recent schemes include Blythe Valley Park in Solihull.
