Two expanding machine tool specialists have relocated their operations from Warwickshire to Worcestershire, in a property deal sealed by Thursfields Solicitors.
Manufacturing industry suppliers WMT (formerly known as Warwick Machine Tools) and REM Systems have moved from their former base in Kenilworth to premises they have bought at Units A1 & A2 Salwarpe Business Park in Droitwich.
The new property is twice the size of the companies’ previous facility, and their workforce has already expanded by 40% as they continue to grow.
Ian Holbeche, managing director of WMT and REM, explained that, following advice from Aimee Davies at The Richards Sandy Partnership, Thursfields had handled all the complications involved in the purchase, which was for an undisclosed amount.
He said: “Once we had decided to purchase the land and property in Droitwich, Thursfields took over all the legalities and all the hassle of going through that process.
“They worked hard on all aspects and made what is always a challenge when you are moving two businesses into a much easier process on the legal side.
“I’d have no hesitation in recommending the commercial property team at Thursfields to anyone else who’s about to enter into such a big purchase and move.”
Mr Holbeche added that his two companies were now ready for growth from their new base, and that they had already taken on three more workers.
Katherine Hall, a solicitor in the Commercial Property team at Thursfields, said: “We were delighted to help what are thriving companies move to premises that are big enough to handle their expansion.
“The teams at WMT and REM were great to work with and it’s pleasing to hear that they have already expanded their workforce by 40% as they continue to grow.
“Their new premises look fantastic. It’s good to know the property purchase and build has gone well for them and the new premises will promote their continued growth.”
