National commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) is celebrating coming top of the EGI Hampshire lettings and occupational sales ranking, once again.
The ranking comes following a strong 12 months for the South Coast team after it completed 85 deals across the region, totalling more than 1.4m sq ft across for both Offices and Industrial space.
Notably, this included LSH completing the largest lettings in both the Offices and Industrial sectors in 2021.
In the Industrial & Logistics Sector, LSH completed a letting on LaSalle Investment Management’s final unit at South Central, Southampton. The transaction saw Hermes take on a 10 year lease of 118,257 sq ft space at the speculatively built three-unit scheme, joining existing occupiers CCF and John Lewis.
Elsewhere, on behalf of Portsmouth City Council, the team successfully let 117,024 sq ft industrial space at Plot 5 Dunsbury Park in Havant, to BioPure Technology Limited/Watson Marlow on a 15 year term.
Earlier in the year, acting on behalf of Aviva, LSH also secured the letting of Unit 5 Mountpark, to Global E-Commerce Experts Ltd. The 74,390 sq ft space was let on a 15 year term within months of LSH being instructed.
Dan Rawlings, Director of Industrial & Logistics in LSH’s South Coast team said: “This is a great achievement for our team who, despite the wider economic challenges of the past two years, has collectively transacted over 1.4m sq ft across 85 deals; more than a million additional sq ft and 40 more deals than our nearest competitor. The team’s collective success has seen us lead various league tables for 15 consecutive years now, and each one means so much.
The industrial market continues to go from strength to strength and we are delighted to have played our part in securing some fantastic tenants for the South Coast region. We are looking forward to building on this success as we head into 2022 with an exciting pipeline of development including design & build sites at Solent Distribution Park, Dunsbury Park and Langstone Park in Havant, as well as Adanac North, Nursling, Power Park in Eastleigh, and up to 487,605 sq ft at Logistics City, Andover, to name a few.”
In the Office Sector, LSH completed the largest letting in Southampton leasing 23,863 sq ft at Frobisher House on behalf of FI real Estate. LSH also acted on behalf of a number of occupier clients and was recognised as the most active acquisition agent on the South Coast for 2021.
Significant new instructions have been won as a result of this success including, Lakeside Northharbour, which is Portsmouth flagship office campus, now owned by Portsmouth City Council.
Andy Hodgkinson, Director of Office Agency for the South Coast added: “Achieving top ranking is testament to the hard work, depth of knowledge, and commitment of our entire team, and we are very proud to have achieved this recognition. It’s a great way to kick start the year and as the market continues to bounce back, we look forward to contributing further to all that our great region has to offer.”
