Three trade counter units being built in Bournemouth have been pre-let to major UK trade brands through property consultancy Vail Williams.
The development at Yeomans Trade Park, behind Castlepoint shopping centre and close to the A338, which feeds into the A31, is due to be completed by the end of January.
Howdens is leasing 7,029 sq ft, Screwfix 5,382 sq ft and Toolstation 3,800 sq ft.
Vail Williams acted for developer and landlord Ilchester Estates and the scheme is being built by Greendale Construction.
Bryony Solan, Associate at Vail Williams covering Dorset, said: “Commercial demand for trade counter units in what is the UK’s 10th largest urban area, with a population of 395,000 and 52,000 businesses, continues to be strong. Even throughout the pandemic, record rents have been achieved and continue to grow.
“The pre-lets to Howdens, Screwfix and Toolstation at Yeomans Trade Park are indicative of the demand for similar units in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole conurbation.”
Yeomans Trade Park is located within the long-established Yeomans Industrial Park in Yeomans Way; Vail Williams acts for Ilchester Estates at the industrial park and recently let the neighbouring 23,900 sq ft refurbished industrial unit to the NHS.
