Knight Property Group has secured a further tenant at Phase 1 of Langlands Commercial Park in East Kilbride.
Mobile catering franchise company, Really Awesome Coffee Company Lanarkshire (part of Anzada and Co Ltd) has agreed a ten-year lease on Unit A, which extends to 2,500 sq ft, plus car parking.
Launched in February 2020, the company offers mobile coffee services in and around the Lanarkshire area, visiting local businesses and supplying them with gourmet coffees, speciality teas, luxury hot chocolates, frappes and smoothies, alongside a deli-style lunch offering. It is also available for local and corporate events.
The company is owned and managed by fully-trained barista John Pritchard and his wife Maria. During lockdown, they started promoting home deliveries to run alongside their daily visits to key worker locations.
John Pritchard said:
“Launching a new business just before lockdown in 2020 obviously presented huge challenges for us, but we worked hard, adapted the business model and have managed to develop a growing and loyal customer base.
“Fast forward almost two years, we now employ six people, have four mobile cafés in our fleet. We needed a production unit and storage base in Lanarkshire to support further business development, with Langlands offering the perfect location for our growing business.”
Howard Crawshaw, Director of Knight Property Group added:
“It is encouraging to secure a further tenant at Langlands. Really Awesome Coffee is a great addition to the park and we wish John and Maria every success with their growing business.
As a company, we are committed to continuing to invest speculatively in key locations, with quality space. We are currently developing the next phase at Langlands, which will consist of 23,980 sq ft industrial unit, scheduled for completion this April.”
Alan Gilkison, Partner at agent Ryden said:
“There is strong interest for the remaining units at Langlands Phase 1, with occupiers being attracted by the high specification units within a highly visible and well-connected location, plus East Kilbride offers a great range of surrounding occupiers.”
Langlands Commercial Park (Phase 1) is a new 10-unit speculative industrial development facility, which was completed in 2021. Each unit offers 2,500 sq ft of industrial space, with single office and toilet facilities, along with electrically operated roller shutter doors, 6.74m external eaves height and ample car parking.
It is located within the well-established Kelvin South and Langlands industrial areas of East Kilbride, adjacent to Sainsbury’s logistics facility. The site is prominently situated with excellent connectivity to Scotland’s main motorway network serving central Scotland and beyond.
