Commercial property specialist NG Chartered Surveyors has announced its first female shareholder with director Jude Weston taking a stake in the company just three years after she joined the Nottingham-based firm.
Jude’s equity stake in NG provides an exit for director Sunny Landa, who is set to leave the company at the end of the year. Fellow director James McArthur has also increased his stake.
Richard Sutton, Managing Director at NG, said: “This move is testament to Jude’s skills and ability after joining us just three years ago. Jude is the future of NG and we have absolute faith that she will continue to drive us forward and demonstrate that we have no gender inequalities, no glass ceiling and no bar on the ambition of our talented team.”
Sunny leaves after 14 years with NG. He joined in 2007 as a placement student and rose through the ranks to become an equity director in June 2013. He leaves NG in an incredibly strong position after advising on countless deals across the East Midlands – and beyond.
Richard Sutton, managing director at NG, said: “Sunny leaves the award-winning NG team with our best wishes as we enter what will undoubtedly be a very busy 2022. His ability to think outside the box has served us well over the last 14 years and he has helped us offer clever and practical solutions to landlords and tenants alike.
“I’m proud to have had Sunny on the NG team and to call him a friend. We look forward to continuing our professional and private relationship and wish Sunny well wherever his career takes him next.
“We’ll also be announcing the expansion of our team in the first few weeks of 2022 – so watch this space!”
Sunny said: “I’m incredibly grateful to Richard and the rest of the NG team for giving me the chance to start my career as a chartered surveyor, and for giving me the opportunity to become a director of the company. I’ve enjoyed my time immensely at NG and it’s not been the easiest decision to leave. I look forward to keeping in touch and catching up with the team on a regular basis in the future.”
