International M&E consultancy CPW has expanded its capital presence with a new London office that supports its growth plans and companywide strategic redirection.
Located in Fitzrovia, CPW has taken on a much larger office and is actively recruiting for all job roles – particularly apprentices, juniors, and intermediates as part of its commitment to training the next generation.
The move follows a business wide rebrand and reflects growth across the business with many new recruits in all the regions and 12 new apprentices joining the consultancy since June this year.
Carl Standley, director at CPW, heads up the London office. He said: “We’re so pleased to have moved and upgraded our office space. Thanks to our commitment to continue supporting our clients throughout the pandemic, and the challenges of doing so in lockdown, we have been repaid by securing some fantastic commissions and cementing relationships that have given us the confidence to expand.
“The new office has more desks, a bigger meeting room, breakout space, and video conferencing facilities and includes space for further growth. This gives our staff better facilities and, along with the additional resource, has the added benefit of allowing us to be more pro-active and offer quicker, more personal local responses to our clients and projects.
“We have a team of 11 currently in the London office, and with our agile working policy there is capacity for up to 18 people so we’re on the lookout for new engineers that share our enthusiasm for low carbon building design. As a company we are on a mission to build zero carbon buildings that minimise the impact on the environment, whilst improving the lives of those that inhabit them
“We’re also passionate about training the next generation, bridging the skills gap, and offering equal opportunities, so we’re particularly interested in hearing from apprentices and junior engineers.”
CPW opened its London office in 2013 and it has gone from strength to strength. Working closely with the Huntingdon and Poland offices to share work and resources, the office brings a wealth of international experience and expertise to its projects and clients.
It’s an approach that has paid off with the team winning many exciting projects in the last year and a position on the University of Oxford Capital Projects Framework.
Carl added: “Our engineers have been fantastic throughout the last 18-months, despite the challenges of Covid-19, with everyone really pulling together. The new London office, along with the wider company rebrand, feels like the next chapter for the business and I’m looking forward to continuing to improve our offering to both new and our existing loyal clients.
Founded in 1978, CPW works across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, residential, education and more. With a team of more than 240 staff across nine UK regional offices and two international offices in India and Poland, the consultancy has sustainability at its heart and specialises in designing and integrating a full range of energy solutions into existing and new buildings.
