Kelly Services, the leading workforce solutions provider, has today announced the opening of its new offices in the heart of Birmingham’s business district.
Working closely with national commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), Kelly has chosen Highcross’s recently refurbished Livery Place in Livery Street as the ideal location. The Grade A office space provides a pleasant workspace for its team, private interview rooms for its candidates, and clients are able to use the spacious meeting rooms.
The new, modern office will operate as a larger, multi-specialism hub, enabling the company to bring together and expand its expert offerings for engineering and office recruitment – as well as other niche sectors such as sales and marketing, call and contact centre and HR.
For the first time Toner Graham, its accountancy and finance brand, will also share the same offices. David Elcock has recently joined from Reed Specialist Recruitment to head up Toner Graham, bringing with him over 12 years of industry experience.
The relocation is part of Kelly’s strategy in the UK to service client and candidate needs from consolidated offices that allow for greater sharing of industry knowledge and best practice. Regarded as the original recruitment company established in 1946, Kelly Services now offers a total talent approach from sourcing professionals on a permanent, temporary or permanent basis through to managed services and innovative outsourced solutions.
Speaking at the opening of the Livery Street office, Gary Jones, UK Managing Director said: “We are moving above the high street away from the shop-front businesses that we typically used to operate from. Birmingham is a key location for our business and our new Livery Place hub will enable us to grow our specialisms in a dynamic environment, ensuring we have the resources available to meet growing demand from our clients.
“Importantly, it will assist us in working more closely with our Toner Graham brand, which we see as a key area of development for our UK business.”
LSH senior surveyor Jon Hinton said: “Kelly Services is a recruitment giant and, as such, needed high quality office space that reflects its global brand. Livery Place has been transformed with significant investment by Highcross and provides an excellent base for companies that want to be in the heart of the city’s business district. We believe it fits perfectly with Kelly Services’ requirements and future plans.”
LSH negotiated the deal with agent Theo Holmes of CBRE. LSH’s building consultancy team carried out space analysis and project managed the fit out which was completed by City Office Interiors.
In celebration of the launch of the new Birmingham office, Kelly Services is supporting Acorns Children’s Hospice. For every temporary booking a client registers and Kelly fills between now and the 24th December, Kelly Services will make a donation to this charity. Additionally they are collecting gifts from existing customers to donate to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Kelly Services has also recently opened another new office in Cannon Street, London in order to expand its presence in the capital city.
