The number one specialist in tools and equipment superstores has added a new location to its portfolio, thanks to a deal secured by leading commercial property agent, Innes England.
Machine Mart, a four-decade-old business, has successfully opened its newest store in Northampton adding to its ever-growing list of locations spanning the length and breadth of Britain. The Nottingham-headquartered supplier now has 65 stores, employing more than 400 people nationwide and is in the top 500 businesses in the East Midlands.
Scott Osborne, director at Innes England, was responsible for acquiring the unit where the new store has now started trading.
Scott worked closely with the landlord’s agent, to agree a new 15-year lease for the c4,000 sq ft building, which will provide a wide array of tools and machinery.
Scott said: “I’m delighted to have helped secure a new store for our friends at Machine Mart. The space covers a large area and is in a great location at the highly visible and accessible Beckett Retail Park, which boasts 109 parking spaces. We acquired the site from CBRE Investment Management who were represented by Joe Newton at Curson Sowerby Partners. There is a great mix of operators on the site, with nearby occupiers including Halfords Autocentre and Angling Direct.”
Vimal Bhimani, director at Machine Mart, said: “We are pleased to have started trading at our new site in Northampton. We are still growing as a business, providing great jobs for local people across the nation and supplying an ever-increasing list of customers.
“My thanks go to Scott and Innes England, which has been a longstanding relationship that continues to support us through all our changes and expansion.”
The new store is based at Unit 4b, Beckett Retail Park in Northampton alongside Angling Direct. Opening hours are between 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
