On the back of opening its brand-new Nottingham office, national engineering consultancy Rodgers Leask has made a trio of key appointments to its structural engineering team.
The new recruits include senior project engineer Matthew Koren, senior structural Revit/CAD technician Ian Aldred and graduate structural engineer Matthew Boston.
The trio grows the consultancy’s structures team to 23 as it continues expands its East Midlands presence.
Prior to joining Rodgers Leask, Matthew Koren acquired almost five years of experience at two prominent Nottingham consultancies. Having built a reputation for excellence in Nottingham, the structural team’s local knowledge has been bolstered by Matthew’s arrival.
Matthew said: “The opportunity to work in a newly opened office for a consultancy with exciting plans for regional expansion was one that perked my interest straight away. Since joining the business I have already worked across several interesting projects and been helping solve challenges with a supportive, forward-thinking team.”
Ian Aldred brings over 20 years of industry experience to compliment Rodgers Leask’s technical expertise. During his time in his previous position, Ian worked with now-colleague Koren.

The East Midlands is a competitive region, with many capable firms’ bidding for the same projects, but I am confident that our growing team of collaboration-driven professionals will help us achieve our shared goal to drive the business forward.”
As well as recent senior appointments, Rodgers Leask is proving its commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent to support the built environment. An example of this is the arrival of Matthew Boston who steps into his first full-time structural engineering role after graduating from Nottingham Trent University and completing an internship at Caunton Engineering.
Matthew said: “My transition from academia to industry has been seamless and confidence-inducing thanks to the team at Rodgers Leask, allowing me to get stuck into projects from day one. I am pleased I have joined a supportive environment that will enable me to tap into the knowledge of others and make significant contributions to major local developments.”
Rodgers Leask has also recently expanded its civil engineering team with the appointment of Christina Noakes, highlighting the firm’s desire to strengthen its multi discipline service offering. Leading the expansion is divisional director Chris Pollett.
