A Midland law firm has won a place on the shortlist for a national marketing prize – capping an awards hat-trick.
Leamington Spa solicitors Wright Hassall is one of six finalists in the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Marketing Excellence Awards, nominated in the Professional Services sector.
This comes after Wright Hassall was recently shortlisted for Regional Law firm of the Year at the British Legal Awards and property litigation associate Claire-Elaine Arthurs won the Warwickshire Law Society’s Young Lawyer of the Year.
The judging panel at the Marketing Excellence Awards, which aims to celebrate the best marketing achievements across various industry sectors, were particularly impressed with the firm’s innovative ‘Winning with Team WH’ campaign.
The campaign sees the firm’s 220 staff divided into four houses, which all have a sporting theme. Everyone within the firm can earn ‘house points’ for playing their part in business development and delivering service excellence to clients.
Each month the winning house is treated to a special prize that they can share, such as afternoon tea or breakfast.
Vikki Whittemore, director of business development at Wright Hassall, launched the scheme and has been delighted with the way it has taken off.
“As anybody that works within the legal sector will know, lawyers can be a competitive bunch,” she said.
“The Winning with Team WH campaign has really ignited the competitive spirit within the firm. Think Harry Potter without the wands!
“Since we launched the scheme in February 2012, we have logged more than 4,000 business development activities delivering close to 10,000 points, which is great to see.
“We are always looking for new ways to add to the comprehensive service we offer clients and we recently launched a new website to help clients find what they need more easily.”
The winners will be announced an awards ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
