Innes England has bolstered its Derby ranks with the appointment of two new surveyors and a new centre manager.
The Derby office of the property consultancy has appointed Michael Walmisley to its agency team, Vicky Barton to its professional services team and Joanna Bond as centre manager at Heritage Gate looking after the office complex and the associated retail and office premises on Friar Gate.
Michael from Duffield, has over 14 years’ experience of working in the East Midlands property market. He has been involved in commercial management, commercial and residential agency and latterly as land manager for a national house builder. In his new role he will be responsible for the disposal and acquisition of commercial property including offices, retail and industrial units together with the disposal of residential and commercial land.
Michael said: “The team at Innes England have been well known to me for all my career working in property. They have consistently been the leading agent within the area, backed by many awards in the property field. I was delighted to be invited to join the company and be back in Derby having more recently worked in Stoke on Trent, Burton and Chesterfield. The commercial property market in Derby is at an exciting phase with more speculative developments well underway and a generally more positive attitude being sensed.”
Vicky Barton, from Chellaston, previously worked in the Nottingham office of Innes England for several years before taking time out and moving to the States. After returning to the UK earlier this year, Vicky has now joined the professional team in Derby. As an RICS registered valuer, she will be responsible for the valuation of both commercial buildings and residential investments and advises a number of national banks, private individuals and pension funds on valuation issues. Vicky also advises local and national clients, including food giant Greggs, on rent reviews and lease renewals.
Vicky said: “It was a pleasure to be asked to return to Innes England and to have the opportunity to work in the Derby office. Since I last worked for the firm, their profile has grown within the East Midlands and I’m delighted to be part of this successful team once again.”
Joanna Bond, from Nottingham, has over 20 years’ experience in office administration and has spent the last ten years as a facilities manager and health and safety officer of a multi-national clinical research company. As centre manager of Heritage Cage in Derby, Joanna will deal with the day to day running and administration of the office complex and the retail and office premises on Friar Gate.
Joanna said: “I’m looking forward to joining the Innes England team and getting started. It’s a great company and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
Gary Woodward, director at Innes England and head of the Derby office said: “We are delighted to welcome Michael, Vicky and Joanna to the team. It is great news for us as a firm to welcome Michael who has so much experience and has such good connections and contacts within the industry already. We are also really pleased that Vicky has returned to the firm, and at a time when professional matters are such a big issue in the industry, we feel that she can offer clients a service which is an absolute necessity.”
