Developer and Asset Manager, MEPC, has announced LexisNexis as the latest occupier to join the Wellington Place community.
With its longstanding association with Yorkshire, engineering software solutions from Leeds for over thirty years, LexisNexis took the opportunity to unite the different parts of the LexisNexis family from their various offices to work under one roof. The catalyst for this was the LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions team launching its new market, offering Lexis® Omni and an associated large-scale recruitment of talent for the team.
Taking 7,788 sq. ft. in 1 Wellington Place, the office will accommodate 120 of their staff and encourage collaborative and efficient working.
The move to Wellington Place will also account for wider expansion as the Enterprise Solution grows its software development functions in line with market demand. Overall, the legal and tax industries are emerging strongly from the challenging effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. LexisNexis are seeing their services in high demand but are also seeing a change in their ways of working and a need to increase business efficiency. As one of the leading LegalTech suppliers, LexisNexis offers applied legal and tax intelligence and enterprise scale business efficiency software covering everything from Legal Project Management to complex business process automation.
Andrew Lindsay, General Manager of Enterprise Solutions at LexisNexis, said; “Wellington Place felt like a great fit for our business. It is in a brilliant location, smartly finished and with excellent and accessible facilities. It is also nestled at the heart of the legal community of Leeds with a number of clients nearby, and with such close proximity to the train station and good transport links, it enables clients to visit us and to enjoy the new collaborative space. We can also easily meet the teams and see the exciting developments that are coming to market.”
Paul Pavia, Head of Development at Wellington Place, said: “We are delighted to welcome a leading LegalTech supplier to Wellington Place. The development is quickly becoming a hub for both professional services and technology businesses in the region. They have decades of experience and serve the top global banks. We hope their business continues to thrive as they get settled in their new home here at Wellington Place.”
