Opening an office in Bristol has proved a fruitful investment for leading property consultants, Vickery Holman. ‘Five years after opening with one member of staff in a shared office, we now have 14 members of staff within our own office space.’ Said Robert Beale, Director and Head of Office. ‘At the time, we were simply dipping our toe into a new market uncertain that we would be able to establish ourselves in such a competitive and well-established marketplace. In fact, we have been made to feel very welcome and have achieved rapid growth even during the national lockdowns.’
Vickery Holman has a strong brand awareness in Plymouth, Truro, and Exeter where the business has been operating for years. Vickery Holman was set up over 30 years ago, and the business has expanded each of its four core services of commercial agency, property management, building surveying and general practice surveying. General Practice has seen a significant expansion, being able to offer valuation expertise, lease advisory and business rates consultancy is a significant bonus for a commercial property business. Clients appreciate the depth of knowledge we have across our business, which means that we can draw on that expertise and help clients in a range of areas which saves them hassle and time.’ Explained Mr Beale.
With pressure on housing stock and a shortage of social housing, one of the growing services from Vickery Holman is Development. ‘Unlocking land for development, or repurposing property, is now very important for Bristol and the wider region. We’re finding that clients find us for one specific service, then realise that we can handle the whole process for them from sourcing land right through to viability valuations, project management, surveys and property management. We are the go-to property experts for the South West. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and I can only thank my colleagues for their contributions. We have further growth plans so let’s see where we are in ten years!’ added Mark Pellow, Managing Director.
