Birmingham-based Contigo, one of the leading developers of specialist energy trading software, has qualified for Accredit UK certification, assuring customers of its outstanding commitment to producing high quality products.
Accredit UK is a highly coveted mark of excellence within the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry, identifying businesses that deliver ICT solutions to the highest standards.
In order to achieve the certification, Contigo had to undergo a rigorous assessment which was completed by an accredited independent third party assessor and explored all aspects of their business.
Jon Yeomans, Marketing Director, Contigo, said: “Being an ICT-based business, to have received recognition from Accredit UK means a great deal to us, as we have put a considerable amount of hard work and effort into positioning Contigo as one of the leaders in our field through the quality of our enTrader suite of products.
“Unlike many companies, that require this accreditation in order to tender for work, we took the decision to go through the process in order to emphasise and formalise our overall approach as a well prepared, reliable and process driven organisation, rather than solely for direct commercial advantage. It sets out an overall framework within which we can actively deliver great products and services to our customers.”
“The assessment process was extremely rigorous and covered all aspects of our company, from how we manage our employees, through to the processes that are in place to ensure consistently high quality performance. We were also required to prove our commitment to continuous improvement and repeatable success throughout the business, which for Contigo is one of the cornerstones of our development as a market leader.”
Accredit UK provides certification for companies throughout the ICT sector and offers a database of certified companies that have met its stringent criteria.
Vaughan Shayler, Managing Director, Accredit UK, said “By undertaking the Accredit UK standard, Contigo have proven that their processes, products, performance and commitment to their personnel compares favourably with the leading businesses in their market. They have also committed to an ongoing journey of continual business improvement that will deliver benefits to them and their clients, ensuring they are one of the best and most efficient businesses to work with and for.”
Contigo provides energy and commodities trading risk management software to some of the UK’s biggest energy providers, including British Gas, E.On and Centrica, and has recently branched out into international markets, having signed a contract to provide services to French energy giant CNR.
