On behalf of a private client, Carter Jonas’s South West commercial team has secured a new occupier for approximately 19,000 sq ft of space at Hercules Way, Bowerhill Industrial Estate in Melksham, Wiltshire. Half Moon Bay has agreed to a nine-year lease for the modern refurbished unit.
For 25 years, Half Moon Bay has supplied retailers of all sizes across the globe with its award-winning licensed and themed giftware. The family-owned business began in 1995 by distributing unusual giftware products from the USA. Today, it represents many of the world’s biggest entertainment brands to create outstanding products that consumers love.
The business has an office in Bath and its new Wiltshire facility includes assembly, packing and warehouse space on the ground floor as well as an office area on the first floor. The detached unit also benefits from car parking and good infrastructure links with direct access to the A350 by-pass.
Alison Williams, Partner, Commercial, Carter Jonas said: “There continues to be strong demand for quality warehousing within Wiltshire and the wider region, and this space at Bowerhill Industrial Estate is an excellent example of the modern, well-thought-out design that many businesses are snapping up. Strategically located in the heart of the South West logistics triangle, it is no wonder Half Moon Bay seized on this opportunity to expand here. The business’ presence in the estate complements the other firms based here, and we are extremely pleased to have secured such an established and renowned occupier for our client.”
Peter Thompson, Managing Director, Half Moon Bay said: “We are very pleased to be based in such a vibrant and well-connected area in an outstanding building that really suits our requirements. As well as the team at Carter Jonas we are especially grateful to Philip Holford of Myddleton & Major who advised us throughout the process.”
Bowerhill Industrial Estate is a vibrant trading estate and one of Melksham’s principal employment areas. Local occupiers include Travis Perkins, Build Base, Herman Miller, Knorr Bremse and Wiltshire Police.
Myddleton and Major advised Half Moon Bay. The landlord was advised by Carter Jonas and Kavanaghs.
