A US parcel delivery company has snapped up the last high-profile unit on Warrington’s prime Omega site.
The 88,200 sq ft unit – the only one available that is situated directly alongside the M62 – was built by Brackley Developments on behalf of US investor Cabot. The new tenant has signed up for a ten-year lease on the unit at a headline rent of £612,990 per annum – equivalent to £6.95 a sq ft.
B8 Real Estate, which advised on the original funding, acted as joint agent on the letting deal with CBRE. Existing occupiers on the estate include Travis Perkins, Scania, Hermes, Royal Mail, ASDA, Brakes, Domino’s Pizza, Amazon, Gusto, Jungheinrich and Hut Group.
Jon Thorne, who heads the agency team at B8 Real Estate, said: “This letting further demonstrates the strong demand for distribution and warehousing space in the region.”
Jed Raymond of Cabot added: “We are pleased to welcome another new tenant into our UK portfolio. This letting justifies our commitment to funding new-build speculative industrial developments in prime locations such as this.”
