BJSS, the UK’s leading privately-owned technology and business consultancy, who deliver world class technology solutions has leased new office space from Picton at their 180 West George Street building in Glasgow.
In a significant relocation, BJSS have taken 7,900 sq. ft. on the first floor of this building located in the heart of Glasgow city centre. The recent extensive floor refurbishment works included returning the floor to open plan, new toilets, and upgrading the finishes to create excellent Grade A accommodation.
In 2020 Picton refurbished the building reception to provide more amenity space for occupiers by creating a communal touchdown business lounge area that meets the needs of occupiers looking for multi-purpose space to work, meet, relax, and collaborate. In addition, 180 West George Street provides an excellent foundation allowing occupiers to provide fit-out to create great space for their staff.
Laura Casci, Head of Delivery at BJSS, commented:
“The move to 180 West George Street marks a significant milestone in the BJSS Scotland growth journey. We now have more space and a working environment that promotes greater collaboration and accommodates our hybrid working model. We’re excited to be heading into our new office in the heart of Glasgow city centre and continuing to contribute to the local economy.”
Tim Hamlin, Director of Asset Management at Picton, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome BJSS to 180 West George Street and be able to support them with the right space for their business and their future growth plans. We wish them a successful occupation in the building.”
Gillian Giles, Associate at Ryden, added:
“It’s great to see Picton’s continued investment into the building and despite challenging market conditions, workspace accommodation with the right specification and in walk-in condition will continue to attract and secure occupiers.”
BJSS will be an exciting addition to the high profile occupiers based at 180 West George Street, including Arcadis, Mathworks, and Peninsula Business Services.
The sixth and final floor at 180 West George will be available from March 2022 following a comprehensive refurbishment which will also include a dedicated roof terrace with fantastic views across the city.
Charles Micklethwaite of Heaney Micklethwaite represented BJSS on the deal, while Ryden LLP and Knight Frank acted on behalf of Picton. Refurbishment works were carried out by Trident and G53.
