Centreline Machine Guards have completed a strategic relocation from their long established base in Lye to larger and more modern premises on Heath Mill Road, Wombourne.
The business, a specialist manufacturer of safety enclosures for the automotive and robotics sectors have been expanding on the back of new contracts with major customers, and needed additional manufacturing space to accommodate the new work.
Shropshire House, owned by Steel Investments Ltd, is a refurbished 12,400 sq ft industrial building with a large secure yard, located at the end of Heath Mill Road, within Wombourne’s main industrial area.
Centreline has taken a new 10 year lease of the property in a deal which completed only one month after the previous tenant vacated.
Nick Ford of Bulleys, who represented Centreline in the property acquisition, commented: “It has been a pleasure working closely with the Centreline management team as their expansion plans have developed, and I am pleased to have been able to help them to find the right property to fulfil their current and future requirements. There is a shortage of good quality industrial stock in many parts of the Black Country, but Shropshire House in Wombourne stood out as the right fit for Centreline’s needs.”
Neil Shorthouse, Managing Director of Centreline Machine Guards commented: “We are all delighted with our new facility and the help we received from Bulleys and now can look forward to the exciting times ahead as we start our expansion program.
This expansion is due to the launch of our new products and services over the past 5 years within the safety industry and our continued relationship with many automotive companies especially with Jaguar and Land Rover.
We are also focusing on our CLAS (CentreLine Aluminium Section) range and will be introducing new products in the coming months.”
