Knight Frank has appointed Chris Monkhouse and Katie Perks-Beattie to provide a dedicated Infrastructure, Waste, Energy and Minerals (IWEM) team, servicing a global platform.
Joining as a Partner and Associate, respectively, Chris and Katie will work closely with the firm’s global network and specialise in providing expert advice to operators, developers and investors on the sale, acquisition, disposal and valuation of IWEM assets. The IWEM team have an overarching mandate with complementing touch points.
Chris joins Knight Frank from Colliers where he was Head of the Infrastructure, Waste, Energy & Minerals team. In this role he grew the agency’s service line, undertaking valuations on behalf of local authorities, banks, investors, developers and operators across the IWEM sectors. Chris brings over 25 years of experience in the quarrying industry, waste management and renewable energy markets, having provided valuation advice to clients including PNC Bank, HSBC, RBS, Nat West, Lloyds bank, Aberdeen Standard Investments and Green Energy Investment Fund.
Chris also provides investment advice including sale and leaseback, asset income strips and funding opportunities, rent and royalty reviews, specialist due diligence and negotiating wayleaves and access rights.
Katie previously held the role of Associate Director in the Infrastructure, Waste, Energy & Minerals team at Colliers where she provided Valuation, Agency, Landlord & Tenant and Estate Management advice across these niche sectors.
Katie’s extensive valuation experience includes working with clients such as Port of London Authority, Liberty Aluminium, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC, Clydesdale, Handelsbanken and Barclays Bank. Working alongside Chris, Katie’s role at Knight Frank will encompass establishing the firm’s IWEM team, in response to growing global demand.
