The commercial property team at Thursfields Solicitors has advised on the multi-million pound sale of a major Halesowen industrial estate as the West Midlands industrial property market continues to go from strength to strength.
Tony Gibb, head of commercial property, and senior associate Emma Hughes, acted for a Worcestershire family in the sale of Hawne Trading Estate to an undisclosed buyer.
Nick Jethwa, associate partner at agents G Herbert Banks Commercial, advised the sellers, with Duncan Bedhall, senior partner of Fisher German, acting on behalf of retained clients who purchased the estate.
Mr Jethwa said: “Hawne Trading Estate in Halesowen has been managed by G Herbert Banks, on behalf of a Worcestershire family, who decided to sell in the early part of 2021.
“It was a significant opportunity in the West Midlands industrial market, which has been experiencing high levels of investor demand.
“The site extends to approximately 7.5 acres, with buildings having a floor area of around 100,000 sq ft. Hawne Trading Estate offers asset management and development potential, with under-utilised buildings and areas of open land.”
Tony Gibb at Thursfields Solicitors said: “This sale was concluded efficiently within a matter of weeks and is indicative of the current strength of the West Midlands industrial market.
“We continue to be instructed by both sellers and purchasers as demand is currently outstripping supply in what is a very competitive market.”
