FI Real Estate Management (FIREM), a leading asset and property management company, has completed an extensive deal to provide more than 100,000 sq ft of office space for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) across the UK.
Located within seven UK towns and cities, office sites include Frobisher House in Southampton, Church Walk House in Basildon as well as space within the Brunel Shopping Centre in Swindon. FIREM has also worked with the DWP to agree office provision at its Ty Bevan office property in Cardiff and Wellington House in Barnsley.
The DWP has already begun taking occupation within these new locations with a number of regional premises already in operation.
A spokesperson for FI Real Estate Management commented: “This news is testament to the investment we’ve injected into a number of our high profile office buildings across the UK in recent years. Grade-A fit-outs, revamped communal areas and tailored lease agreements are all requirements that are demanded by organisations in a post-pandemic era.
“The DWP’s requirements were complex and specific so we’re delighted to have been able to accommodate their needs so swiftly and provide the department’s teams with the space and facilities they need to operate successfully.”
All of the premises involved sit within FIREM’s extensive 10m sq ft portfolio of commercial property across the UK. The company also has a further 2.6 million sq ft of new build property in the pipeline.
