Firethorn Trust has expanded its team with a new development manager, who will help to drive forward the delivery of its growing development pipeline.
Hugo Briars joins from Cyril Leonard Ltd, where he was a Senior Surveyor in the building consultancy team. Hugo brings with him extensive knowledge of development and construction processes across multiple sectors, in addition to international project management experience in Vietnam and Liberia.
In his new role, Hugo will play an integral part in progressing logistics and industrial development opportunities for Firethorn. His hands-on approach will be critical in bringing forward and delivering projects to the highest standards and supporting the investment and asset management teams.
Hugo’s appointment comes after a busy first half of the year for Firethorn, which has more than 3million sq. ft. of new space currently under development and a string of land purchases in the pipeline.
Paul Martin, Firethorn’s Development Director, said:
“Demand from occupiers shows no signs of abating, and Hugo’s appointment will reinforce our ability to ensure projects are brought forward swiftly and to the highest standards.
“Hugo’s track record of consistently delivering exceptional results, in hand with his breadth of cross-sector experience will place the development team in a strong position to push forward Firethorn’s ambitious growth plans, and we are delighted to have him on board.”
Speaking about his appointment, Hugo Briars said:
“In a relatively short period of time, Firethorn has really put its stamp on the sector to become one of the leading UK industrial developers. It is incredibly exciting to be part of such a dynamic business in this key stage of growth. I look forward to building upon my current expertise and driving forward Firethorn’s development portfolio to maximise value and achieve strong results for the business.”
