Colliers has strengthened its valuations offering in Europe with the appointment of multilingual Chartered Surveyor Alex Turner.
Alex who is fluent in French and German, as well as English, has joined the global commercial real estate firm’s London office and will work alongside Colliers’ 250+ MRICS qualified valuers situated across the EMEA region. The team’s specific role is to generate, manage and co-ordinate the firm’s pan-European commercial property valuation instructions.
Alex joins from CBRE where he worked across various teams most recently focusing on large-scale UK shopping centre valuations as well as a wide range of asset portfolios in European markets. He also spent a year in Paris in their capital markets team working on the disposal of office assets worth more than €100m.
James Moy, from EMEA cross-border valuations, Colliers said: “It’s great to have Alex join the team, he has extensive knowledge and strong experience across a number of asset classes and European markets, which is hugely beneficial for providing up to date, relevant advice to our clients. He will be focusing on generating new business as well as strengthening relationships with our existing client base. He will also help support the team’s diversification into alternative sectors as these become more pertinent amongst our clients’ portfolios.”
The EMEA cross border valuation team works with a range of clients across the globe including institutional funds, REITs, alternative debt providers, NGOs, government entities and investment banks.
Alex added: “What I really enjoy about working in the European markets is the variation of the asset types and the different geographies. It’s interesting to be analysing the performance of shopping centres in Italy one day and looking at office stocks in Germany the next.”
