A growing firm of independent financial planners has relocated to refurbished office suites on Colmore Row in Birmingham city centre.
Colmore Partners has taken 772 sq ft of space on the first floor of the Grade II* listed Imperial and Whitehall, part of The Grand, Birmingham.
The firm has signed a five-year lease with landlord Hortons’ Estate Ltd, which has invested in the modern refurbishment of Imperial and Whitehall to create flexible working suites, characterised by many of the iconic building’s original features.
Colmore Partners was founded by Richard Meek and Wendy Fellows who, between them, have over 50 years’ experience in the financial services industry. The financial planners are staff-owned and employ a team of five people, supported by an advisory board from different professional backgrounds.
It is the second recent letting at Imperial and Whitehall. Fast-growing energy technology company, Octopus Energy took occupancy of a 1,123 sq ft first floor office suite at the building earlier this year.
Nina Meeks of Hortons’ Estate, said: “We are very pleased that Colmore Partners has chosen Imperial and Whitehall as its long-term home. It is an iconic building that has been associated with the Hortons family since the 1870s and we have invested in its refurbishment to exceptional standards. There are only a handful of remaining office suites available.”
Richard Meek, managing director of Colmore Partners, said: “I’m thrilled to secure space in the heart of the Birmingham business community, in such an iconic building as The Grand. It was always our intention to take prime Birmingham office space, in line with the plans we made when we launched the business in March this year. We look forward to welcoming our clients and contacts alike.”
