In response to the recently released second quarter GDP figures, Heather Anstey-Myers, Chief Executive of Chambers Wales, said:
“The announcement of GDP growth in the second quarter shows positive signs of recovery and is an encouraging sign for the economy. We expect growth to continue following the recent lifting of Coronavirus social restrictions, which will allow even more businesses to operate back at the level they were before the pandemic.
“As we move to rebuild a greener economy, it is vital that the Welsh Government encourages investment in skills and development and continues to support businesses to innovate and thrive. Education plays a vital role in creating and supporting a sustainable economy, and it’s more important than ever to invest in our people as we look to move past the pandemic.”
