Following the launch of its Midlands Planning and Development Team, national property consultancy, Carter Jonas, has recruited Laura McCombe as an associate planner based out the firm’s Two Snowhill office in the centre of Birmingham.
McCombe joins from Boyer with more than five years post qualification experience managing a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes. Recently she has focused on strategic residential land, leading on the preparation and implementation of planning strategies for a range of clients, including national housebuilders and landowners. A proactive member of the RTPI Young Planners and the Women in Planning Network, McCombe was awarded the RTPI East Midlands Young Planner of the Year 2020.
Carter Jonas opened its Birmingham office in 2016. Since this time, in response to market opportunities, the firm has increased its capabilities and established new business lines, including dedicated planning and development services led by Neal Allcock. McCombe will work closely with Allcock and the wider team, advising clients on a diverse range of planning matters across the region including, tall buildings, student and educational uses, brownfield redevelopment and strategic green belt release.
