Baylis Estates, the Bristol based property development company has made two senior appointments as it continues to drive its business forward with some of the South West’s most significant commercial developments.
Josh Roberts joins Baylis Estates as Property Director. Josh has over 32 years’ experience in the South West property market starting his career with King Sturge before moving into the development sector. Most recently he was a founder shareholder of regional developer Cubex Land. He brings with him wide ranging knowledge and successful delivery of multi-sector commercial and mixed-use schemes including speculative as well as pre-let and forward funded projects. He has a strong focus on maximising development potential from existing assets alongside identifying, securing and delivering new schemes.
Elfyn Haycock is the second new member of the team, becoming Development Director. Elfyn heads up project delivery as well as working with Managing Director David Mace and Josh to appraise and secure new development opportunities. Over his career he has delivered c.£500M of developments across retail, mixed-use, office, student, residential and industrial sectors, for developers, funds and institutions. Elfyn previously worked at JLL with most recently completed projects including two multi-million pound Build to Rent and Student accommodation schemes in the South West.
Baylis Estates has been responsible for nearly 2 million sq ft of retail, leisure, office, warehousing and motor trade developments throughout the South West. The company has most recently completed the new Jaguar Land Rover dealership at The Venue, Cribbs Causeway, and is currently developing Armstrong Business Park in Yate, and South Point Business Park in Chippenham.
Managing Director, David Mace, explains this is an important time for development in the region.
