Scores of staff at an engineering and civil engineering construction company in Southampton have been digging deep in the nationwide fight against breast cancer.
Women from family-owned Trant donned everything from pink cowgirl hats to fluorescent tutus for Wear It Pink Day, in aid of the Breast Cancer Campaign.
They were ticked pink as well when a JCB tractor rolled on to the forecourt at Trant’s headquarters in Rushington to create a surprise stage prop for this photograph.
Monies are still coming in for pledges made for the ladies’ participation in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with £614 raised to date.
Nikki Pullen, a personal assistant and one of the organisers, said: “Whilst this was a bit of fun, there is a serious point to the fundraising, with one in eight women diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK – and that is one in eight too many.
“We are proud to play a part in helping the Breast Cancer Campaign charity fund the research projects with the greatest potential to save and improve lives and, ultimately, to find a cure for breast cancer.”
